Lachlan is a 26 YO University Student. He was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer (rare form) at the age of 20.
He was told he could never be cured and wasn’t expected to live for more than 2 years. Lachlan shares his story of gratitude, resilience and self belief.
He underwent many challenges and was presented with many opportunities to make a positive or negative choice.
The content of his speech is how he managed his journey through cancer and how this connects strongly with growth mindset.
It is now over five years since his diagnosis and his health is as good as it’s ever been.
Along with Lachlan’s inspiring story, we have created a fully resources kit that enables teachers and students to practice the skills of gratitude, resilience, self belief, growth mindset, plus much more.
Here’s a sneak peak of one of the gratitude lessons, Lachlan on stage & a letter Lachlan received.
